Ann passed away on the 9th February 1999 after another battle with cancer. She was 69 years of age.
She had 3 son's and also a daughter who was murdered at the age of 10 years old. Her life was tormented with the details of the horrific case back in 1964, and her life only existed with the help of valium.
She was one of the bravest women that I knew. I don't know how she ever coped with losing a daughter the way that she did.
She was a wonderful Mum and Nana.
She was a beautiful, stunning woman, and I miss her every day, and I know that she is happy now that she is with her beautiful Lesley Ann.

Atoned with the spirit of a daughter
Its my unequivocable belief that this lady, Ann West, is now holding the hand of her beautiful daughter, Lesley.
This short poem, I have written myself:
Two spirits atoned in perfect grace,
That mortal land, a beguilded place
Feel so free and sing so sweet,
Forgot you have, that pounding heartbeat
So pleased we are, your lives are yours,
Never again, the sorrow pours
You are not alone your 'happiness' is shared,
For we look upon, and also care
Its bright and warm and secure with love,
That place of life so high above
I write these words so true to you,

A Mother's Love Is Powerfull
I don't even know you, but i know of you.
Your a formidable and great person.
I'm from London, yet even people here and all over the united kingdom, could not help but be touched by your story and the sad death of your daughter lesley ann.
The evilness of mira hindley will haunt me for the rest of my life, even though it happened years before i was born, i will certainly make sure no one ever forgets this, and learns from it, to insure that no lady ever goes through the pain of looseing a child that way again.

Nana, another of your children is coming to be with you. Brett your youngest. Never got over losing you, but passed away yesterday, on your eldest son's birthday. The family are heart broken, but I know that he isn't troubled anymore. I know you, Auntie Lesley, Uncle Tommy and Kim, will look after him now. Miss you all loads xxxx

Ann west was my hero, i admired ann,i read and watch all her interviews,the day she said she would shoot hindley for the murder of lesley,i was right behind her,she spoke her mind as i do,when my daughter chanel was murderd by her scum of a thing dad,i swore to the police and courts i will do a ann west, but sadly like ann i never got the chance,as like ann would have done it i would, i was sorry she never got to see hindley die,i still think of her to this day,and often talk about how brave she was to stand up for what she belived in revenge,i would have like to have met her,i will never forget her,she was one hell of a women,my thoughts are with you all,bless you all, anne

Ann, we met you when your son Tommy met my sister in law Lesley. You were a beautiful, vibrant lady, with a wicked sense of humour. Your life was marred by the tragedy of Lesley Anns death yet you had this amazing quality of always putting others first, You were so kind and funny. You were a very special lady Ann. You are at rest now with your daughter Lesley Ann, your son Tommy and grandaughter Kim and I know you will be fussing over them all in heaven.
You will be in our hearts forever.
